This piece was a response to Ashcroft's "operation pipedreams" and its dramatic effect on our culture. The camoflauge and barb-wire chamber represents the underground nature of our scene. The black helicopter is the "man" flying in to limit our freedoms and attempt to disrupt our peacful way of life. Their missiles of fascism find their way in but the explosions sparkle with dichro rather than burn. Finally, the sword pommel stem is a reference to the Sword in the Stone of King Arthur. Which of us will rise to slay the beast and lead us to new horizons?
